31 Mei 2022 – PT. Oshindo Medika Pratama/Medilab Clinic held a health seminar at PT. Mitra Energi Batam on the topic of “Workplace Nutrition” with dr. Brain Gantoro, Sp.GK (Clinical Nutrition Specialist) as speaker. The health seminar is part of PT Oshindo Medika Pratama/Medilab Clinic program to promote good nutrition for improving health status and productivity at work.
There are many factors that influence work productivity, including nutritional adequacy. The diet itself has a significant impact on nutritional adequacy, including the quantity and quality of the foods and beverages consumed. dr. Brain said: “A bad diet consists of fattening, salty, and sugary foods. The best food for a person depends on many factors, such as their age, gender, type of activity, and body type. It is equally important to consume a sufficient supply of carbohydrates, protein, fats, vitamins and minerals. An unhealthy diet can increase the risk of illnesses such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, and others.”
A better understanding of occupational nutrition can lead to healthier and happier workers and at the same time decrease morbidity rates.
